Service Description

 We are providing transformer oil filtration service to private and government organisations and serving very high voltage sophisticated power transformers requiring very high purification value of parameters of insulating oil. Our Insulating Oil Filters are designed for the efficient treatment of insulating oil used in transformers, switchgears, substations and switching stations. These filters perform filtration, dehydration and degasification in medium vacuum environment. The plants are available with capacities varying from 3KL, 4.5KL and 12KL are available either as fully mobile units. The filter paper packs are speciallyp prepared(treated with acetone) filter discs, each held under compression by as spring at the top of its guide. Only clean oil can pass between the paper discs and all the solid matter is retained at the outer surface of the columns. The clean oil passes along the pack rod guide and springs into the vacuum receiver, where it is subjected to a vacuum of about 68cms. Hg at sea level. The water vapour, air and other gases are being drawn and discharged out by the vacuum pump. The solid matter accumulated on the filter pack can be removed periodically by reverse cleaning with compressed air, the air being obtained from the vacuum pump/compressor.

A thermostat is provided in the heater chamber by which the required temperature is maintained automatically. The thermostat has to be adjusted initially the first time when the filter is in operation to a temperature of 70-80 degrees. Transformer oil should be clean from all the contaminations like moisture, dissolved gasses, dirt particles and oxidation products which are due to continuous use of transformers.
